Just one club has confirmed a place straight to the Round of 16, while 14 other teams are through to at least the playoff round but are gunning for more.
That leaves nine places left to be claimed on the final day of the league phase, and 14 clubs in contention to do so.

Coming into the final matchday, only first-place Lazio are confirmed to have a top-eight place — and therefore a bye straight to the Round of 16. In fact, thanks to their three-point lead atop the standings, they are even secure in their place amongst the top four seeds, thus rendering their final league phase match against Braga meaningless for them.
Below Lazio, the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Athletic Club can only be caught on goal differential tiebreaker and thus are almost assured of a Round of 16 bye. Both clubs need just a point to lock in their standing and are likely to end up there even if they suffer defeat on the final day.
A win for Manchester United would also mathematically secure a top-eight spot regardless of outside results. A point is also likely to do the trick.
Lyon, Tottenham, Anderlecht and FCSB all have a little more work to do, while Galatasaray, Bodo/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen, and Olympiacos are all chasing from behind.
Those finishing below the top eight will be forced to navigate the knockout playoff round if they are to reach the Round of 16.
